Mark E. Tinmouth Associate
Mark articled with a prominent Halifax law firm before being called to the Bar of Nova Scotia in 2008. After being called to the Bar, Mark worked as an in-house lawyer with the Halifax Regional Municipality where he focused on corporate-government contracts, inter-governmental contracts, municipal due-diligence, by-law enforcement, dispute resolution, municipal land tax, and land grant issues.
Mark practices in the areas of corporate and commercial, as well as civil and maritime litigation. He works closely with senior members of the firm on a broad range of issues, including the purchase and sale of vessels, share and asset purchases of corporations, incorporations, vessel arrest, debt enforcement and collection, insurance defence, charterparty and bill of lading issues. Mark also handles small claims matters and bodily injury work.
Mark has appeared in the Provincial and Supreme Courts of British Columbia. He has conducted trials in the Provincial Court of British Columbia. Mark also appeared before the Small Claims, Family Division and Supreme Courts of Nova Scotia, as well as the Nova Scotia Utility and Review Board on land use by-law issues.
