Katherine Arnold Associate Counsel
Prior to joining Bernard and Partners in 2003, Katherine worked in Vancouver as a litigation associate for a large national firm for several years, and then joined a boutique firm in Vancouver specializing in labour and employment law.
Practising employment, human rights, health and insurance law, Katherine has worked extensively with numerous public and private sector clients, including insurance companies, health care professionals, hospitals, health regions, self-governing bodies, school boards, and municipalities.
Katherine has represented clients at a variety of administrative tribunals and Courts, including federal and provincial human rights tribunals, employment standards tribunals, workers compensation tribunals, employment insurance tribunals, labour arbitrations, the Supreme Court of British Columbia, the British Columbia Court of Appeal, Federal Court and the Supreme Court of Canada.
Katherine has provided counsel and assisted in the development of various employment and consulting contracts, employment policies, health policies and consent documents.
Katherine also benefits from the experience of being a member of a number of boards and committees, including hospital clinical ethics committees, research ethics boards, parent associations and the board of a continuing care facility.
